OUR FAMILY & FARM

We are Trish and Blair and we raise fall garden mums on our Central Ohio farm. Trish grew up just a few miles away on a grain and livestock farm. Trish’s passion for tending the land and growing corn, soybeans and now garden mums has been handed down through 6 generations of farmers. Today, Blair is the 7th generation to be raised on the family farm.

If you ask Trish if she ever dreamed that she would one day be growing mums, she would tell you no, but here she is. Blair has always loved flowers and then she wanted a greenhouse, a big one, “so, we can grow flowers for people and they can come to our greenhouse” And she wouldn’t let the greenhouse dream go, so we compromised and began growing fall garden mums. Compromising with a then 6 year old is a challenge, but we are so glad we did.

Fall Garden mums complement our grain farm. Today's equipment and farm size doesn't allow for Blair to be involved in every aspect of growing corn and soybeans, but the mums afford her that learning experience. It’s truly a family affair at Stillwater Mums!
